Home Suite documents a daily existence where familiar scenes are recognised in passing, views on a journey between departure and arrival. These scenes then act as a catalyst for further visual exploration. The work details the seemingly overlooked surfaces of an everyday environment that seems to exist in a peaceful limbo between past and future. The photographs seem to assert that the landscape, however innocent and mundane it may appear, holds secret stories and hidden histories. Evidence of these buried narratives unfold as traces of human involvement with their proximate environment. However small these traces appear, they comment on a larger view of indiscriminate circumstances and reflect on human personality and character.
